Rev. Robert M. James, Jr.
Associate Minster of Education and Outreach
Rev. James grew up in rural Madison, Ga and has worked and volunteered in youth related ministries since he was a youth himself. During this time Rev. James spent four summers working for Camp Twin Lakes, a summer camp for children with special medical and emotional needs, and worked as a student ministry intern and youth ministry intern in North Carolina for Winston-Salem First Baptist Church and Wilmington First Baptist Church. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University (majoring in Religion and minoring in International Studies, 2006) and Yale Divinity School (M.A.R., 2010). Rev. James completed one unit of ACPE chaplaincy training through the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT and was ordained to Christian Ministry April 11, 2010 by his home church of Madison Baptist. Rev. James is passionate about Missions and recently led 35 adults, youth and children from the Union Baptist Church on a service trip to New Orleans, LA to continue the rebuilding effort four years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Rev. James served for three years as Youth Director of the Union Baptist Church before being hired as the new Associate Minister of Education and Outreach.
