The Rev. Stacy E.F. Emerson has been the Senior Minister of the Union Baptist Church in Mystic since the spring of 2009. Prior, she served as the Associate Minister of the Union Baptist Church, Associate Minister of the First Baptist Church in Branford, CT and Chaplain Intern at Havenwood-Heritage Heights Retirement Community in Concord, NH. Rev. Emerson is currently the President of the Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut. She has served locally and nationally holding several positions, including President of the Mystic Area Ecumenical Council, President of the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut, and has written curriculum for two ABCUSA National Youth Gatherings, led workshops for regional and national conferences, and been a consultant to churches in the region. Rev. Emerson has a Bachelors of Science degree in Developmental Psychology from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA, and a Masters of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, MA. She is married to Kevin Emerson, who is an attorney in Norwich, CT, and they have two young children Samuel and Katelynn.
