Ministries

The Union Baptist Church accomplishes its mission and ministry through the ministers and every member of the congregation, who are all ministers in Christ.  In addition, our buildings are constantly used to support important ministries and groups in our community, including AA, Al-Anon, Mystic River Chorale, and non-profit organizations.  The offices of MASH (Mystic Area Shelter & Hospitality for homeless families are housed in the Morgan House and our Happy Time Nursery School is in our main building.  Currently we have many boards, committees, fellowship groups, and service opportunities:

  • Occasional trips including the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, the Solstice at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, the Cloisters Museum in NYC

As you can see, there is a lot to be involved with at the Union Baptist Church!  By participating in the ongoing life and ministries of UBC, people express the importance of the close friendships that are made, the good that is done in our community, and the deepening of their faith.
