Activities

There are many opportunities for Bible study,fellowship, outreach, special worship occasions and other special activities here at Union Baptist Church.

We offer a four-page pamphlet with important information about church activities and outreach with contacts and times. Copies of this invaluable brochure are available in the church office and the foyer or online by clicking here.

Two youth groups, Women’s Fellowship, R.O.L.L. club, supper groups and other small groups provide opportunities for enrichment, personal growth and fellowship. Bible study opportunities are available for everyone. A men's group meets every week for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Additional opportunities for such experiences are provided periodically through weekday and evening study groups, retreats to Camp Wightman or to Gove Hill in Vermont, fellowship dinners, and summer picnics.

There are many opportunities for participation in the music of the church. The Adult Chancel Choir, Youth and Children’s Choirs and Handbell Choir welcome new members. These groups add greatly to the cultural and worship aspects of Union Baptist Church. Each spring, all who enjoy singing can participate in the Mystic Ecumenical Choir Festival, a weekend of training and concert singing under guest directors.

The boards and committees of the church often have openings for willing volunteers and provide opportunities to learn about the church as well as to help with the operation of the programs of the church.
