Remember and Be Changed!
Maundy Thursday is a special day in the church year. It serves to commemorate the institution of the Lord’s Supper. In North Africa, late in the fourth century, it was celebrated in the evening rather than the morning as was and is usually the case.
This year we will again celebrate around tables in minimal light simulating the atmosphere of the Last Supper. We will remember in a different way this special night before the Lord’s execution.
Bring a candle (and holder if necessary)!
Child care is provided.
The Palm Procession has been a part of the observance of our Lord’s passion since the fourth century and again this year the Mystic Area churches will gather on Palm Sunday to commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Come join us April 1st at 9:30 am at the Mystic River Park as we sing a hymn, pray, then process to our worship services. The opportunity of fellowship and worship with our friends in Mystic churches promises to be a memorable way to begin our Palm Sunday worship.
