Union Baptist Church hosts and participates in many activities that augment worship. Below are some of the yearly activities that occur:
- Annual Ecumenical Palm Sunday Processional: Meet with other area churches at celebrate Palm Sunday at 9:30a inMystic River Park. Group then processes through Downtown Mystic with palms to church service.

- Community Easter Egg Hunt: A community event on the Church Lawn (in Fellowship Hall in the event of rain). Children learn about the Resurrection story and search for Easter Eggs. Cake and punch will be served.
- Community Children’s Halloween Party: A community event run by the Middle School Youth Group. Halloween games, suitable for children of all ages, are played with candy prizes. ”Scary” (really silly) story time and the “Mummy” Wrap are fun ending to a silly night!
- Advent Family Craft Night: A night where we get together as a church family to celebrate Advent by creating decorations we can cherish for years. Craft tables are set up for children, and cookies and punch are served. There is even a special visit from Santa!
Stuffed Animals Made During Faith in Action Sunday 2010
- Faith in Action Sunday: A Sunday each October where instead of a formal worship service we get together to serve others in our community. Activities include making stuffed animals for sick children, fixing and cleaning M.A.S.H. houses, work fixing and cleaning the church. For those who would prefer to worship a time of prayer is offered during this time in the Sanctuary
- Family Emphasis Sunday: A Sunday in January where we celebrate the families in our congregation. This event starts with a breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. The morning is then finished with a bible verse and a craft that emphasizes family togetherness.
- Habitat for Humanity: Congregation members of Union Baptist Church support Habitat for Humanity in various ways. The children have participated in the “Nickels for Nails” program in which they donate their loose changes to help Habitat. Congregation members have also participated in a build project and hope to participate in many more.
