Special Worship Services
During Advent and Lent, we offer worship services particular to the liturgical season and invite you to join us.
About our worship…
Worship is at the heart of our life together in community and as the body of Christ. It is a time to offer our thanksgiving to God; it is a time to share our joys and concerns in prayer; it is a time to be challenged to grow in faith as we listen for God’s voice; it is a time to hear God’s Word interpreted for our generation and for our lives week to week. In our worship, the Spirit is stirred and our spirits are encouraged so that we may sense the presence of God and be given the courage to be God’s people in the world, serving and loving for the sake of Christ. As such, worship is not a passive act, but requires our participation, our faith, and our going out in service.
As we pursue our vision for worship, our Worship Team seeks to help us:
- To worship God by preparing a space for people to experience God’s presence.
- To worship God in a way that binds us together in community, honoring our diversity.
- To worship God in a way that sends us out to share God’s grace with the world.
Child Care:
Child care is available during our worship service. For infants up to age two we offer our Crib Room from 9:00am through 11:45am. For children age two through grade 5 we offer Junior Church starting at 11:00 directly after the Family Ministry Moment during the worship service.
