Habitat for Humanity

2017 Project

                                        2017 Project

Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut and our three local American Baptist churches (Poquonnock Bridge, Noank Baptist, and Union Baptist) have partnered together to ready a house for ownership. This is a wonderful and exciting opportunity for us to support a meaningful project and continue to build ties between our churches and community. The project timeframe is expected to last up to a year. The workload will not be heavy as we are not demolishing and rebuilding a house. Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the project from getting the word out about the home, selection of the family, fundraising, actual physical work in the house and yard, supporting the family, serving snacks and refreshments on work days, and organizing the final dedication ceremony when the family moves into the house.

A one hour training session and orientation session is required prior to volunteering. For more information, contact Sue Morton at 860-949-4441.
